When I got home yesterday morning I set a desk lamp on the floor and opened the case to check the fans. I fired it up and used a small wadded up piece of plastic bag to put in front of the fans to see which way they were blowing. The front case fan is blowing in, the rear case fan is blowing out, and the fan on the HS (I unplugged the rear fan to test this) is blowing air through the HS toward the rear of the case. So according to all the diagrams I've found that show the correct orientation of fans I am fine. Quad idle temps have been steady at 28/28/30/24

Anyway, onward ... here is a picture of my new computer.
