Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

The system is running faster. Real player still maxes everything out during start up, but after a minute everything does back to under 50% usually.

Do I still need all the programs I had to download?

Hi snafu4u

Having three virus programs is not a very good idea.

Your system bootup time will take long with the 3 items trying to start at the same time.
Also your realplayer is trying to boot at startup.
Why is my CPU at 100%

As in the film Highlander there can be only one. Anti-virus program running

So should I uninstall the ewido and kav program that you had me install before?

I have the McAfee firewall but the subscription has lapsed. Should I get another subscription?

How do I make realplayer stop starting during starting?

Thanks for all that info. Currently my modem is out of commision so I won't be able to do any of the instructions until Verizon sends me another one. I will reportback as soon as I have that computer up and running.
