HD3870 fan settings problem

I want to set the fans speeds on my card to my preferences, but i've tried both atitool and rivatuner but neither of them will let me. In atitool fan control I choose "Dynamic based on GPU temperature, but the fan never changes to my specified percentages. The same happens in rivatuner. Does anyone know why this is? Or is there another program that will actually work with this card???

This is the latest version of ATItool

Keep in mind it's still in beta, as of right now, there are no tools that completely compatible with the HD38x0 cards, though the final version of ATItool is set to release very soon and will have full support for these cards.
