I have a 9800 all in wonder pro, and am running XP with SP2. When trying to run Call of Duty 4 an error pops up saying that my card or driver does not support alpha blending. According to the ATI site the 9800 pro does in fact have alpha blending abilities. I am really wondering what else could be causing this problem and seeing as how you guys responded well to a similar problem when I did a yahoo search I thought you may be able to help.

Have you updated your drivers for your Graphics card recently?

Yup, made sure to install the latest ones when I tried to get it to work. I did it a second time just for good measure but no luck.

try going to http://canirunit.com/ and see what they say about your system specs as compared to call of duty 4.

is your video card a 9800 or 9800pro? 9800pro is the bottom line of supported video cards.

Ouch, I'm screwed then.

I said it was a pro, but I reinstalled the drivers for the third time just for the [bleep] of it and it worked, just goes to show you how well the catalyst drivers work. Thanks for the suggestions though.
