These were a number of programs, each aimed for a different purpose. The msconfig procedure eliminated the number of programs running in the background. CCleaner is used to remove broken and un-necessary file fragments. Other processes are aimed to improve other aspects of the computer operation.

It's incorrect to assume that "things" that you don't "really" use can be removed without a specific removal action taken by yourself. A program can be installed for years without being used and it's only your decision to remove it, and the action that follows this decision, that will remove it. What we did so far was to improve the performance of the computer by different means but we didn't remove anything.
