Hi,

I have a problem with my monitor: lately the colors darkened, while contrast and clarity haven't changed; their both at 100% (like they were before it happened!). It's quite an old monitor: a Compaq V700. Is it broken or is it just something having to do with some settings I accidently set? Please help.

Thanks in advance,

Rutger

If your contrast is at 100% the monitor is bad. Factory setting are usually at 50% so you can adjust lighter or darker. I do not know what clarity is on a monitor. Do you mean Brightness? again 50% is the factory setting and if you need to go past 75% or below 25% the monitor is going bad.
