Well, I've got a variety of problems happening right now on my PC

I'm running Windows 98 4.10.1998

I'm getting a lot of BSOD's that are either:

Fatal Exception 06 has occurred at 0000:000083FB
and
Fatal Exception 0E has occurred at 0117:BFF9DBA7

I did some research and found that the 06 could be caused by Norton. The workaround fix that Microsoft offered was to disable it in the autoexec.bat file.

So, I rebooted to the command prompt, typed edit c:\autoexec.bat, which opened it obviously. However, it was completely empty.

I am at a loss as to what to do here.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Sean Boutselis

I uninstalled that update and the problem hasn't happened since.

Hopefully that solved it.

Thanks for your help.
