I continue to get the following message in a pop-up box and it will not go away: IEEE-1284.4-1999 Network Driver (Windows). I have reloaded the software for my HP printer twice and have run Ad-Aware but have not remedied the problem. The message comes on my laptop with the XP-2000 system but is not effecting the other computer in the network. All program seem to function well on both computers and the threat of closing down the running programs has not happened. What should I do next? Thanks much!!

Welcome to G2G

From what I understand, the error you are getting is the often the result of a problem between HP Director software and IE7 (or possibly another program).

If you are using HP Director, then you should be able to download HP solution Centre which replaces Director. If you can, then all you need to do is uninstall Director and install Solution Centre in it's place.
