I recently had a virus(got rid of it) and now every time i use IE i have to type
in (http://), its the only way i can go to sites, just typing www. won't work.
does any one know how i can change this?

Try repairing Internet Explorer:

Control Panel,
Add/Remove Programs,
Select (highlight IE),
Click add/remove,
A box will show asking you to select remove or repair,
select repair and click ok.
