Good day to all,

I have been haveing this problem for awile now and am wondering if there is anyone that can help me. I am running vista on a toshiba sattelite M55 S135 and for some reason when I put a disk into my CDROM it just spins for awile and nothing happens. I go to my computer and click on the drive and it acts like there is nothing in there. When I check the Properties it says that the drive is working properly. I cant even try to re-install the vista softwear because it doesent recgonize the cd. I have been pulling my hair out with this!! is there anyone that can help me before I smash this thing.

If the laptop will not boot off a CD unit, then its not a Windows problem, its a physical issue with the CD unit itself. If its still under warranty, get it repaired under that. If not, you'll have to replace the drive or obtain an external drive caddy and a CD unit.
