Hello : My computer has picked up a few unwanted programs that I can't delete. Could somebody please help get rid of them. The icons are on the desk top and also one of them is a small icon in the toolbar next to the clock.

My computer skills are poor, so take it easy on me.

The icons on the desk top are....

Mindlink2005setup-dm.exe

Spacerangers2-dm.exe

AvernumIVsetup.exe

Mediacellconvertersetup.exe

Also the icon near the clock when hovered on, is "error-space rangers 2"

Thanks to anyone that can help. Much appreciated,
Wayne.

These all appear to be games. You or someone else using the computer must have downloaded them and placed them on the desktop.

Open Add Or Remove Programs in Control Panel and see if any of them re listed there. If yes, uninstall them. If not, check in Start / All Programs. See if any are there and is so, do they have a Uninstall link.

What happens when you try to delete them?

Give Unlocker a try.

Thanks for your help. :)

I couldn't locate them in ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS, nor in ALL PROGRAMS.

If I try to right click delete them I get an error window that says...

Cannot delete media cell converter setup: It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again.

Thanks for any further assistance,
Wayne.
