I recently reformatted my dell inspiron8600. Although the reformatting was successful, I'm having some trouble installing a few drivers. I am unable to connect to the internet and I have a feeling that my problem has to do with the fact that there are no ports listed under my hardware. :)

I know that I can download drivers for free on the Dell website. However, I do not know what driver I need to download to fix this problem.

Can anyone help???

What hardware are you using? If you have the specifications of your computer it'd help a lot.

EG: If you have an Ethernet port card named Dell Ethernet v1000, go to the site and look for it.

Also, if you don't have the specifications of your computer, please post back.

There should be a Dell service tag on the bottom of the laptop. With that tag you can go to the Dell site, put the tag in, and you will get the items that were installed in the laptop.

You can also get the tag by going to start/programs/ dell accessories/ express service code. This should narrow it down.
