System tray icon for the Virtual Assistant from AT&T Broadband, used to communicate internet problems via the network rather than telephone. Available via desktop shortcut or Start -> Programs - not required.

Looks like it might have been Verizon that put it there in your case. They put it on your machine when you went to them for help. To remove it:

Reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and select safe mode from the menu). Be sure you're able to view hidden files and folders, and remove the following files in bold:

C:\Program Files\Verizon\Support\SmartBridge\ <-- This Folder

Restart and then post a new log. <_<

Thank you once again, I have posted about 3 or 4 times in regard to my new Dell, and also in regard to our older Compaq PC....
