Help with call of duty reinstall PLEASE!

I play cod uo online with dial up. It was running good for a while but after trying to acess a couple of servers mods were downloaded onto my computer which slowed me down. Then i got the 1.51 patch which made it better for like a day but soon it was crap again. I uninstalled both cods. The Readme file attached to the patch said that when u uninstall the game some of the patch files will still be there, so i searched my computer for any Cod stuff and deleted all of it. Now everytime I try to install Cod An error comesup saying that something is wrong with the installer(wizard). I am at a loss
