When I start IE7 and type a website address on the url entry space e.g. www.cnn.com and press enter it odes not work and automatically some other characters start typing on their own in the url address space e.g. ......If I could ....

If I were to select any other website from my homepage or select it from the drop down list it works fine.

However sometimes when I try and enter form data e.g. to register on geekstogo.com the form fields were automatically getting filled in with ....... so I had to use Mozilla to register.

Below is the hijack log and I would really appreciate any help on this.

I did not see anything suspecious in your HJT log file but I'm no expert. If you want it reviewed by an expert, post it HERE. Make sure you read the You Must Read This Before Posting A Hijackthis Log article before posting though.

Is this a IBM ThinkPad? If so, could this be you brushing the touchpad?

Thanks. Yes it is a IBM thinkpad. It is not the keypad though. Will post on the hijack log forum.

I think your language toolbar is on.
Right click the taskbar and click toolbars and uncheck language bar.
Or turn off/mute your microphone by clicking on the icon in the taskbar.

Try turning off Auto-complete in IE7, see if that changes things. This link looks like it has good directions for doing this:

It seems the language bar was not turned of properly. I also turned the mic volume down and turned off auto complete. This seems to have resolved the auto typing issue. As regards the enter key not working I found out that Shift + Enter works.
Thanks Ztruker and cmpm for your help. :) :)
