I was also having a lot of problems with OIN and did a search on the file it was in, MJDXG or something like that.I started off reading stuff on techspot.com and tried to follow the instructions on www.techspot.com/vb/topic/30213.html and www.techspot.com/vb/topic17297.html. I never posted anything on their forums, but kept jumpinng from link to link, downloading and running spyware detector after spyware detector.
I've now ended up running most of the steps in your Must-Read_Before-Posting-Hijackthis-Log-t2852.html document. Thanks, by the way, for the instructions. I hope they've worked. A couple of the software providers have made updates, particularly Super Anti-Spyware. The settings are not in the location you indicated on the 2007 Free version.
I was able to do everything but run the Panda Activescan....I ran into a problem after clicking Scan Now and trying to download the ActiveX. In any case, I ran an Avast scan instead.It found and deleted win32:tratbho.
I now have 10 spyware blasting programs on my computer:

I need to know
1) Is my HJT file showing that I am now clear?
1a) If not, what do I need to do to clean my computer up?
2) Do you need any other log reports, most of the spyware generated something
3) What programs shown above do I need to keep
4) How do I turn automated scanning for Avast back on? I turned it off early on in the process to download everything.
