Hi there - have a Brother MFC 440 CN that I'd like to print to through a wall-plugged ethernet adaptor without a print server. Windows XP recognizes the printer; the printer recognizes the LAN; nothing prints. The wall-plugged system is working fine, connecting router and 2 PC's. All cables are well-connected.

I have disabled the Windows firewall per Brother's instructions but still cannot get the machine to print. No specific error code is provided. Fax and copy functions are working fine.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
