MY search box on my computer underneath start tab wants me to connect to internet explorer before i use it.

UHHH OK?

Also welcome screen on startup has changed so i have to click my name for desktop to load icons (never did that before) This all happened when I left my internet connection plugged in overnight I woke up and found my firewall disabled in the morning also.

Also cpu usage running at 100% most of the time.

a fake download (supposed to be from microsoft) wants me to download the patches? When i do they don't work...

This all started when i downloaded framework 2.0 and 1.1 I want to uninstall them but that doesn't work either.

It was working perfect before i installed frameworks.

I have tried antivirus and all nothing comes up..

Also found a user account for an asp.net framework on my users login list?

Deleted it.

This is the wrong section of the forum for a HJT log as only the Malware Experts in the Malware section are allowed to help you through a HJT log.

I would hie thee to the Malware section of this forum and follow the instructions at the top. Especially the Click Here link. That will give you several steps that will help you clean up most of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the cleanup process you are still having difficulty, and you may not be, then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

Please be patient as the "Malware Forum" is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the Malware Section, please return to this thread. Please do not post a HiJackThis log in this thread unless asked to do so and then only as an attachment. To attach log, when requested, either change the .log extension to .txt, or put the log into a compressed (zipped) folder.

Please post back if your problem has been solved.

Ron
