Hello,

My touchpad doesn't seem to want to work. I have tried turning it on and off using the Fn function and "TouchPad Enabled" and TouchPad Disabled" pops up each time I do however it makes no change in the actual functioning of the mouse. I have an external mouse plugged in now and when my laptop reads "Touch Pad Enabled" the external mouse continues to work.

My computer is an Acer Aspire 3680

Does any one have any other suggestions or am I stuck with an external mouse?

Thank you!

This sounds like a mechanical repair is needed. Either the connector wires are not connecting or the touchpad itself has died. You can try downloading the drivers for the laptop and deleting the touchpad drivers out of device manager, then reinstalling the drivers from the downloaded file.
