I am having a similar problem..... Somewhat
I recently overhauled my entire puter
Box Power Supply MOBO Vid Card Ram CPU and network card
my problem is this....
We built the new puter and loaded in the same HD's ( I have 3 put them all in the same setup as old box was) and the drivers and such then it crashed wouldn't let me boot it past the Detect Secondary IDE so we played with it a bit and finally got into the Bios..... long story short loaded a fresh copy of XP on my D: and ran it to load D first and it worked and is working I can get into the C: but with my old puter I had XP user accounts and mine the main one was password protected along with My Doc's folder..... I want to know is there a way to access that folder if your unable to load that XP being booted up from my C: which is now my secondary slave?
All my important files and folders are in there so I really need to get them out ...most of them are irreplacable and would cause me so serious grief and deep doo doo from the CEO's and Board if I don't get them back.....

ANyone have an idea or 2 I could try?

Hello Dario65...

You may need to Take Ownership of the files to recover them.
