I have a a Freecom 250GB USB external drive which I have been using on a Mac recently. However I know want to us it on a PC. It is currently formated as a Unix drive. My laptop (running Windows XP) recognizes there is a HD attached (when I run diskmgmt.msc), but it does now show it in Explorer. How can I a) get the machine to recognize the HD and b) format it to the correct operating system?

Cheers.

Andrew.

It won't be seen in explorer till you format.
In diskmanagement, right clic on the drive and select format from the drop down menue/.
