Windows will not boot

when i start the pc it seems to be running but the monitor gets no signal. i've tried to boot with xp disc also with start-up disckett and same thing no signal. its like my hard drive is frozen or not responding to any key board keys (f8, ctrl, ect.) or disc.

any suggestions...

First step is to find and try another monitor. (make sure your cord is connected, etc..)

yes its hooked up to a different monitor. it's not the monitor, i have two pc's and the other works fine on both monitors

Your power supply might be dead it happened to me to. Is like the blue led is on and your fans are running but no picture. you need to replace the power supply because your motherboard might of been shortned if you had loose screws in your case. need help email me at [email protected] :)

Do you get anything on the monitor at all? Such as the POST screen showing bios and boot?
Do any fans run?
Can you hear the hard drive?
If no, then probably the power supply not giving power to the board and components as suggested.

If you do get POST, then possibly the graphics card is bad/ loose (if you have a board. (you could have built in video on the main board).
