HELP ME!!!!


i seem to have gotten a Chipawayvirus (Ver 1.64)

any idea HOW i got this and How i can kill it


Also will i just effect my master HDD or everything in my computer?

Hello Foxxed...

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions found there.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself...then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum. Be patient, the Malware Forum is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual. Do not reply to or bump your own topic. If it shows a reply it may be overlooked as one that is being worked on.

chipaway is a basic BIOS anti virus
just turn the anti virus off in the bios

Yea con i just googled it , so i`m guessing sector zero in my HDD is screwed or somthing...

no not necessarily just disable BIOS anti virus make sure u have a good anti virus installed and it should be fine

lol i fixxed it i guess me messing with the bios did it..lol

anyway i loaded the bois back to normal and i`m on my computer again.


But i still dont know why it was saying

System boot Failed, Please insert Boot disk
