I am trying to do some webdesign. I currently live in college accomodation, we have Ethernet ports there through which we connect to Internet. I run latest version of WampServer2.0 but can't access localhost from any of my browsers (IE6, Firefox 2, Opera 9) IF I am connected to the LAN. If I disconnect the ethernet cable, then everything is fine, I get a response when opening http://localhost. But as soon as I reconnect again, I can't connect to localhost anymore. The status bar will say "connecting to localhost", whilst the progress bar stays at nil. There is no response, not even a error message, the page just stays blank, though the loading has not stopped (and never does).

Please if anyone can help me to solve this problem, I'd be very grateful! :)

Thank you

Would this be of any help:

Failure to connect to http://localhost
Wampserver2.0-Waiting for localhost-Never loads
Wampserver2.0 Forum

That's gonna be the best I can do for you.
