I don't know what infection is on your computer. I hate that. Still, need to take a nap.

Click here to download eScan's mwav application. Double-click it to run it, select all local drives, scan all files, press 'scan' and when it is completed, anything found will be displayed in the lower pane. Highlight it, CTRL C and paste it in your next reply.

I'll check back later, don't know if I'll make your deadline though.

DO NOT PM staff for support. I'm not even sure how your log was answered today when there are others, many days older, still waiting for replies.

This is a free service, offered by real people with real lives. I'm sorry the person helping you had to get some sleep. :tazz: I suggest maybe you do the same, and have some patience.

I've read many different threads on this forum, and I found that a lot of people have this problem I'm facing... but theirs is related to hotoffers.info......

They managed to delete the file after they found out what the bad file was. I've also read something on the net about my problem...

http://www.trendmicr...v...W_COOLWEB.B

This guy also got his problem resolved: http://www.geekstogo...rus-t18308.html
In his second post, it seems that he has successfully got rid of the red X and the desktop shorcuts...... I want to know how to do that on my computer...... would my eScan results help determine which files to delete?

Again here : http://www.geekstogo...jan-t18401.html
in the third post, the guy said that the two files most likely will be .dll How do I know which one is mine?

I've scanned my C:\WINDOWS with mwav's eScan...

The results are as follows....

I will have to repeat this. Please take time-zones and the workload into consideration.

We are doing the best we can.

I'll ask g2i2r4 if she'd like for me to take over, but even so, this will take time.

Regards,

Pieter

I totally understand that, I was just asking that if you had time, do you mind having a quick log at my log....seeing if it is reasonably clean??

Again, sorry..... I understand that I'm very lucky to have got this far...... and I promise that I won't post anymore PM's to mods......

Very very sorry for my actions......

As Admin and Metallica already said, please do not PM me for support.

g2i2r4 is already helping you and she will be along shortly to help you. Please be patient.

As Admin already pointed out, your log should not have even been started today as we have a backlog in this forum that is almost 2 weeks long.

You should consider yourself lucky to have gotten this far this fast.
