Hello all I was just wondering if theres a way I could disable the download of one specific update windows keeps trying to install. I keep receiving an error on one update for Outlook. I don't use outlook so the patch would not really affect my security because I have a firewall and anti virus running (they are up to date.) The patch as failed about 8 times now and it gets tiring waiting 10 minutes for the computer to shutdown every time.

Hi bdrew6, welcome.

Go to the Windows Update site. Uncheck the "KB943591" update.
Check the "Don't show this update again" box that appears below the details.
Click on the "Review and Install Updates" link. This seems to be what really locks in the change.
You should see a Important - You've hidden important updates yadda yadda stuff.
That should stop Windows Update from bugging you about installing KB943591.
