Hello I seem to have problem when trying to open mcafee's site this link: http://www.siteadvis...ownload/ie.html

when I click on it, this would appear:

Mod_python error: "PythonHandler mod_python.psp"

Traceback (most recent call last):

File "/sa/dossier/python/current/lib/python2.3/site-packages/mod_python/apache.py", line 299, in HandlerDispatch
result = object(req)

File "/sa/dossier/python/current/lib/python2.3/site-packages/mod_python/psp.py", line 302, in handler
p.run()

File "/sa/dossier/python/current/lib/python2.3/site-packages/mod_python/psp.py", line 213, in run
exec code in global_scope

File "/sa/dossier/apache/2.0.55/htdocs/download/ie.html", line 9, in ?
STRINGS = Languages.getStringModule(req)

File "/sa/dossier/dynamic/Languages.py", line 62, in getStringModule
stringsmod = __import__( "STRINGS_%s"%lang)

ImportError: No module named STRINGS_nb

in the browser window.

Can someone please tell me what this is, and please dont answer unless you are sure what this is..

This is a McAfee site issue. The message is or was being generated by the web server. It works now.

Try refreshing the pages?

Are you going to McAfee's site by following links, or are you typing the URL yourself?

Do you think that i would post this question here if i havent tried this?

I have even tried mcafee's help desk and chatted with a consultant they couldnt even figure out what it was.

do you have mcafee siteadvisor? when i click on the icon in the toolbar for get newest version it gives me this page:

http://www.siteadvis...t_type=IEPlugin

and it looks like this

Mod_python error: "PythonHandler mod_python.psp"

Traceback (most recent call last):

File "/sa/dossier/python/current/lib/python2.3/site-packages/mod_python/apache.py", line 299, in HandlerDispatch

File "/sa/dossier/python/current/lib/python2.3/site-packages/mod_python/psp.py", line 302, in handler
p.run()

File "/sa/dossier/python/current/lib/python2.3/site-packages/mod_python/psp.py", line 213, in run
exec code in global_scope

File "/sa/dossier/apache/2.0.55/htdocs/ie_upgrade.html", line 126, in ?
STRINGS = Languages.getStringModule(req)

File "/sa/dossier/dynamic/Languages.py", line 62, in getStringModule
stringsmod = __import__( "STRINGS_%s"%lang)

ImportError: No module named STRINGS_nb

try this link: http://www.siteadvis...ownload/ie.html (you will probably get in but I get this)

Mod_python error: "PythonHandler mod_python.psp"

Traceback (most recent call last):

File "/sa/dossier/python/current/lib/python2.3/site-packages/mod_python/apache.py", line 299, in HandlerDispatch
result = object(req)

File "/sa/dossier/python/current/lib/python2.3/site-packages/mod_python/psp.py", line 302, in handler
p.run()

File "/sa/dossier/python/current/lib/python2.3/site-packages/mod_python/psp.py", line 213, in run
exec code in global_scope

File "/sa/dossier/apache/2.0.55/htdocs/download/ie.html", line 9, in ?
STRINGS = Languages.getStringModule(req)

File "/sa/dossier/dynamic/Languages.py", line 62, in getStringModule
stringsmod = __import__( "STRINGS_%s"%lang)

ImportError: No module named STRINGS_nb

refreshing the page dont help anything.

I have solved this issue!

My Solution:

I didnt want to reinstall windows so I tried to make a new user on windows to see if I still got same problem. I didnt!

so to solve this issue I made new account on windows and copied all the documents and settings to the new user and then deleted my old one and using my new one. problem solved :)

ps: it also solved the problem with a nonworking system restore, it now works! :)
