I have seen some Staff on here talk about crazy speeds. Like 100mb/s. I'm sitting here on my 6mb/s connection thinking to myself, "I wanna move to your country". :) The fastest they offer in my area is 10mb/s and soon to be 16mb/s. Talk about being a little behind, geez. I saw in another thread, I think it was Denmark has now found a way to reach 1tb/s. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!!

Here is the link to that thread...HERE.

It is worth noting, that 1TB Speed is not available to the public anywhere soon. Altho, we have some high speeds here in Denmark. I "only" have a 20Mb/1Mb cable line (triple speed first minute of download tho, provided free by ISP) But a good deal of people here, are getting 50Mb/4Mb lines. And as soon, the Fiber-optics cables are in place all over, we'll see speeds exceeding 100Mb....

Anyways, latest test from me (Nearest server is still worse than one farther away :) )

That seems wrong for me... at least on the download speed

The reason this doesn't seem right is:
The last time I talked to my ISP they said I should normally be able to attain about 6-8mb/sec normally. And if I upgraded to turbo I would get boosts to max 15mb/sec

I don't know my self if this is accurate "based on what my ISP said"

Lol?

Are you using Avira Premium with the web guard? It makes your speeds look like that.
Here is mine. I lived with dialup for my whole life, this is a relief!

Yes I have, I will tried it without.

EDIT: yes it is because of Avira.

im sorta confused about what download speed actually means
in my last post, i stated that my average download speed was 200kb/s. that was when i had the 3mbps service from verizon

Posted Image

no one is using verizon?? im paying ~$35/month for this slow connection!!!

and my average download speed (songs/movies) is 200 kbs

i upgraded to a 7.1mbps line and now my average download speed is 800kb/s - as u can see my upload speed is the same so im guessing download speed represents your real download speed but i just don't know what 7.1mbps actually means

I think I'm limited by the servers I'm testing on.
The most I've gotten is 115 Mbps, I'm sure I could get higher if I find a better server.

Just to point out what Comcast can do in terms of variation.

This one was a glitch, back when I had 1500 ADSL:
Posted Image

Now I have 8000 ADSL but it's not actually that fast because a lot of servers limit what I want... but there are times when it's like "awesome":'
