Hp pavillian a500n cd writer freezing up

I have a dvd rom cd writer on my hp pavillian. When I put a cd in the writer my system freezes up. I also receive an error that says rundll error loading ldamfit.dll. Do these two things have anything in common?

This filename is unGoogleable. Please check and try again. It looks suspicious though.
As to in common - probably related if they always happen together.
