Laptop not holding charge?

Hi everyone,

greetings from California!

I have a roomie with a Dell Inspiron 1501 series.................

The battery on the laptop is taking the charge but dying drastically fast. Now the problem would seem to be the battery I would imagine however the recharging to 100% has me in doubt.

Anyway to see if its the wire to the pc (light is green though) ......... any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Replace the battery. One that charges to 100% is one thing, one that doesn't hold its charge isn't much good. Would you put a battery in your car that doesn't hold its charge?
