Hello, and welcome to Geeks To Go.
You have asked a most difficult question!
I use Vista home premium, (and have used XP, 2000, ME, and 98.)
I like the improved search function in Vista over the search function in the older software, however it is really just a matter of your choice.
Many people do not want to change from the familiar way that they are used to, and Vista is new so there will be slight problems to be worked out.
Some of the older software will not work with the newer Vista.
There will come a time when you will have to learn the newer software, however at this point I suggest that if you like XP and are using it with no problems then do not go to Vista.
Let some time go by for the bugs to be worked.
If you are new to computers and have not learned how to use XP then I suggest that you go ahead and learn Vista because you will have to in the near future any ways.
Thank you.
