This somewhat conveluted, but I will attempt to be consise with my description.

I discovered what I have since learned is a trojan on my laptop. I believe it is called f5.thezirius. My history indicated that my laptop had been to many sites that I had no knowledge of visiting. In addition, the laptop and printer was acting in strange ways. So, I did a search for thezirius and discovered this site and specifically a response to a similar problem from kahdah. I followed the instructions outlined for removal which included using Smitfraud and Combofix. The process seemed to work as the symptoms went away.

Later, I sent and introduction thanking the forum for their help. Shortly after than I received a reply from facedown98 in which I was advised to go to the malwar forum and proceed thru the malware removal process stated there. So, I have done that and now have the requested reports and Hijack log to post.

These logs and reports are posted below. Again, thanks to all of you who have participated in helping me to solve my problem.
