Hi all...I am currently having keyboard problem with my PC(using laptop right now)...the letters seem to be jumble up...is there anyway to resolve this?

examples:

when typed L->.l
;->/;
k->,k

Probably have bits of crisp or whatever lodged under keys.
Alternatively the matrix is possibly (though unlikely) damaged.
Cheap and easy solution: Buy a new keyboard. They cost next to nothing.

I don't get why the mis-types seem to resemble the words being typed

For example

i 'am '(ty)ping '.li,k3 '+his.l.l.l

very closely resembles "I'm typing like this!!!", with a 3 for the e, a + for the t, and .l for a !

Maybe you turned on some odd 1337speak language pack?

Interesting idea, Fredil.
Also the fact that the same thing happens on an onscreen keyboard strongly suggests a software issue as opposed to an actual keyboard issue. In most cases a new keyboard does clear issues like this up but in your case I don't think this would apply.

Hi google - ish
Down in the bottom right hand corner do you have a little blue block with EN in it.
If yes right click>click on settings it should list your default input language and keyboard layout. Make sure the layout is US.
If no blue box with EN then go to the bottom and right click on the taskbar then click on toolbars
then click on langauge bar - this should give it a tick and make the little blue box with EN appear.
Cheers
Peterm

nonono..u guys got it all wrong....The reason why im typing lik3 +his is b3coz c3_+ain l3++3_s can+ b3 t_p3d....
(The reason why im typing like this is becoz certain letters cant be typed...) as far as i know, q,w,e,r,t,y and num-pad(next to arrow keys) cant be used. Even the enter button gives me 3chars out(not sure what it is...happens after i typed my login password...

examples:

when typed L->.l
;->/;
k->,k

q,w,e,r,t,y cannot be typed...
