@DonnaB Well I never thought Cat Stevens wrote that. He's one of those artists that's covered by a lot of bands. It's also the best version I have heard which stands to reason.

Randy Newman is another artist who is covered a lot, but his music and lyrics are always misinterpreted. I often watch people singing Sail Away in a proud and happy fashion and it's about slavery. Same for this next song. Often played as if it's a raunchy number, not quite, it's a bit darker than that. The clip is magic, you will find out why at 2:29 :)

I've always liked Joe Cocker's version of You can leave your hat on.

One of my favorite Joe Cocker songs:

I just love his raspy voice

Joe's voice is indeed awesome. Now here is a voice that is also unique and has a charm. Lindsey Buckingham is also an underrated guitarist I think, his finger picking style is sublime

I couldn't agree more!

I just love this Mac tune:

If you've ever seen them in concert, Lindsey Buckingham plays a mean solo that sends your soul reeling!

Fleetwood Mac.........yes yes and yes again...thank you stevie for your haunting voice

I named one of my daughter's after this song...Loved the song and the name Sara without the h (Sarah)..
so if you put a fada above the first a the name is pronounced Sera...Sára..
it is this line of the song i took her name from..
He said "Sara, you're the poet in my heart,
Never change, never stop..."

Many times, thoughts of songs are triggered in my head by what others say to me. Nutloaf and I were discussing teamwork and how help is all around us when needed the most, and how much we love this site.

I dare not mention how he compared this site to a cuddly blanket. :P

Ooooo. I'm gonna get it now.

Pat yourself on the back. I googled that very command and did not find it anywhere in the same syntax. It worked for me!

We are the Champions, my friend, and we'll keep on fighting till the end!
