Elbow's One Day Like This, from The Seldom Seen Kid album, is an anthem for enjoying life and finding something wonderful (even if it is just for a day).
Throw those curtains wide
One day like this a year would see me right

great song and fantasic lyrics
"And I'm telling this story in a faraway scene
Sipping down raki and reading Maynard Keynes
And I'm thinking about home and all that means
And a place in the winter for dignity"
These guys opened at a concert I went to recently. While not a huge fan of the fact every 2nd word said between songs was an expletive, I really enjoyed this song. They had a great live sound, too.
Can't love this enough - the album is called Brown Sabbath
