Whats so good about dogpile?
Several years ago it was really unique. Its a meta search engine, performing simultaneous searches on several search engines. A dogpile search on "Air hockey" would get you the first ten listings from Altavista, google, Ask jeeves, Lycos etc. Sometimes it would get you to sites that you'd completely miss just using one search engine.
Much quicker than trying each site indivuually. I kind of drifted away from them when they dropped certain search engines as their defaults. Now I almost exclusively use Google.
(by the way, I took a quick look at clusty, and I'm going to have to check it out some more. It might be a better meta search than dogpile)
