Hello Canus...
What kind of machine do you have? With the make and model number we may be able to help you out.

allright i managed to find a old comp to use to make my responses faster but using my wireless keyboard is proving to be troublesome since its acting alittle screwy. for example if i push letter d it comes out as 3or e as - etc. so im using the on screen keyboard and my mouse. either way its faaster than my psp

Do you have a XP CD? If so, the quickest way to recover might be to do a Repair Install. Leaves your data intact but you will have to reinstall some programs.
This might be a good time to backup all your important data before doing any repair work. You can use some of the Linux Live CDs to copy your data off to CD (if you have a burner). I've seen many references to using Puppy Linux to do this. Your choice of course.
