Hi everyone! Thanks for the help in advance.

OK.. Window's Vista Home Pre.
Laptop GS2 Asus, intel dual 2.2mhz, 3 gigs of ram, 8600m nvidia,

Do you have popups?

I've gotten a couple but this is the lastest one and it trys to install everytime I boot up windows. .
"Name: C:\Windows\hcwemMOM.exe
Publisher: Unknown Publisher
Type: Application
From: C:\Windows\hcwemMON.exe

This fiel does not have a valid digital signature that verifies its publisher. ect..."
If so, where are they from? What do they say? Are they advertising a particular product?

answer is No.

Has your browser been hijacked? If so, to what URL?
I don't think so! But I'm not an expert. Would I know if I was beeing hijacked?

Does your antivirus detect an infected file?
If so, what file, and what is the infection detected?

answer is No.

Is your system sluggish?

answer is yes but only part of the time it seems to be on again off again like maybe my computer is being used as a zombie (use to hack other systems, but I'm sure you

guys new that term).

Is there a particular process using a lot of the CPU?

Again I'm not sure what is a lot is.. I have currently 99 process running .
If so, what is it?

Does your firewall give alerts about a process trying to access the internet?
No I don't think so
If so, what is it?
Have you already tried certain steps to fix your problem?
I ran SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition fixed 20 odd items nothing spectaculor there, ran Macfee STINNGER nothing there either.... Yes I've Run Spybot S&D.. nothing found.

I've run Shaw Secure 2 and Kaspersky. Nothing found. I've run Adaware nothing significant found just tracking cookies. Defrage, Scandisc, and now a complete rebuild from

HD. I also read through these forums to try and locate a fix but alas.. I can't find one, maybe I should open my eyes.. lol

Please also mention that you have read this FAQ and followed the directions, or else someone is likely to ask you to come back here.

Ok..the reason for doing the rebuild was because I left my computer on all night and in the morning when I went to restart the computer I got a window message stating that

window couldn't start normaly and asked me to preform a recovery. I tried to do that but it just kept going back to the same window. It would not even do a system restore.

I had no choice I had to rebuild. I think that is all I can tell yah at the moment. :techsupport:

Before and now with the fresh install from HD, as I'm running a Laptop Asus G2S mentioned above, webpages and downloads are extreemely slow. 35kb slow... and slower.

Sometimes I'll get up to 200kp but that does not last very long.

Oh yah.. I'm not running two virus protections at the same time either. I know that is a no no. Gosh I hope you guys can help me out.. this is getting really anoyning.. I

use this laptop to talk with my family, son , wife, mother, and sister.. I need my computer working or I'll go NUTsoid.. again thanks for the help.

I think is where I should post a start up log and Hijackthis log?
