Hey all,

I'm looking for an efficient to schedule Ad-Aware SE 1.05 Professional to run bi-weekly at a specific hour, in the background without even a single window popping up... How do I do this?

Thanks y'all.

Hello,IceCube welcome to the forum try this please...

The automated scan :

Go to the Control Panel, open the Task Scheduler.

Create a new one...
click next...
then click on Ad-Aware SE Professional
click next...
select the frequency...
click next...
select the option (like hours, weekdays...stuff like that)
click next...
when it ask you for an Username...
use your computer admin account...
type the password of this account, repeat...
then click next....
(oh, if you don't have a password on this account, this wont work... maybe you should create a new computer account only for the scans...)

select the option case for the Advanced options after...
then click on Finish...

On the execute command line... you will have something like this :
C:\PROGRA~1\Lavasoft\AD-AWA~1\Ad-Aware.exe

replace with :
"C:\PROGRA~1\Lavasoft\AD-AWA~1\Ad-Aware.exe" /full -mru +cskip +auto +remove:3
(dont forget the " ") also, you can change the parameter as you wish (check the user guide for more info on command line options...)

******

Auto weekly update :

I recommand you using it with the option higher... and add the +update command line... will update before scanning...
or, if you don't want to update right before doing the scan...
repeat the above guide...
and use this command line :

"C:\PROGRA~1\Lavasoft\AD-AWA~1\Ad-Aware.exe" +update

also, if you want it to be silent... use the +silent command line option...

Regards..
