When trying to install TaxCut, I've got the error message reading
something like "msiexec.exe encountered a problem and needs to close".

Upon educating myself on the web
(http://www.file.net/...siexec.exe.html) I check the file, which
appears to be ok, but the installation still aborts.

I tried to copy-paste this file from another computer (first renamed
the file into <msiexec.exe_>, then pasted the "good" copy) but it did
not help.

I suspect something is happening but am not sure where to start analyzing.

Any advice is appreciated.
