Fed up of waiting for online suppliers to receive stock of the Zotac 8800 GT Amp edition, so got this on the recommendation of our IT guru.
Appreciate comments on my choice, as it's not too late to cancel order if I've made the wrong choice.

Hi BIGEYE,

The HD 3870 is a good card, but the 8800GT is better. Are you not able to find a different brand of 8800GT instead of the Zotac? The XFX version is very good, they have an excellent warranty also :)

While the 8800GT is the better card, for one reason or another nVidia tends to be a lot more money then ATI.
In my opinion, the 8800GT is indeed better, but not worth the extra £40.

The 8800GTS 512MB is better than the 8800GT 512MB. The 8800GTS 320MB and 8800GTS 640MB are worse than the 8800GT 512MB.
