can you use an external HD on a laptop

I was wondering if i would be able to use an external HD because im getting a laptop and it only has a 40 GB harddrive and i mighty need somthing bigger then that



any help would be apreciated

yep...they have usb 2.0 extrernal drives that will plug right in

Yes as well. Just read the package when purchasing, it will tell you what it requires.

I just bought a Wester Digital external HD. Not saying I recommend WD but it works fine for me. The only thing is, it came with some software "garbage" on it. I reformatted it to NTFS. Works good now.
