Not really giving a lot to go on. From the title of this thread I would suggest going through FireFox's Standard Diagnostic

Are you sure you have the latest release of Firefox? There have been some things fixed in recent builds... such as memory leaks. Firefox is a GREAT application for the most part. However, it can and does hog up resources on your system at times.

You should also make sure you have no malware on your computer. Things you may not even know you have can and will cause your browser to freeze or run slower.
