Help I am going out of my mind As XP has taken over the galaxy.
I want to install the driver for my USB scaner but everytime
I connect it the Auto New Hardware found kicks in and changes the driver
for the scanner.
The driver is not the correct one and My scanner will only work in B+W or Pink.

Needless to say with the correct driver on Windows 98SE there is no problem.

Cheers

Hi pa5252
Welcome to geekstogo
Do you leave your scanner plug in all the time to your usb?you should leave it plugged in or windows may want to reinstall the driver it thinks is best every time you plug it back in.
after windows installs the driver go to your hardware setting click on your scanner highlight it then with your pointer on the highlight right click then click on properties then click driver tab then click update driver, mark install from a list, then mark don't search i will choose the driver to install, click on have disk that will let you go to where you have the driver you want to run.
