My computer is being plagued by continuous pop up security alerts advising me that
I have this trojan and that trojan and then directing me to websites to download software that will remove these trojans. Some of the trojans that these alerts mentioned are .NetWorm-i.virus@fp, black door, downloader.ms, psw.exe-vir trojan, and a whole slew more.
Also, 2 new icons appeared on my desktop, Live Safety Center and Online Security Guide. Both seem to be generated by Kurrakreck.com.
I see that this person:similar post
lists the same trojans that the above pop ups tell me I have, including mrofinu572.exe, and I'm wondering if I can apply the exact same Combo Fix that is in their post? I'm running xp-sp2 and ie 7. Thanks for any support.

Hello

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • If your anti-virus or firewall complains, please allow this script to run as it is not malicious.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.
