bcmwltry.exe popup [RESOLVED]

Backstory:
Client brought in computer with non-working CDRW/DVD Drive and Win XP Home SP2 unable to boot. I installed another CDrw/DVD drive from an identical laptop (Dell Inspiron 5150). I booted to Windows' recovery console and ran chkdsk /r. Afterwards Windows was successfully repaired and able to boot. The system had Limewire installed so I immediately suspected virus/spyware infection. After immediately uninstalling Limewire, I have ran the following scans: Ad-Aware 2007, Spybot S&D, Avast4Home, ATF Cleaner, AVG Anti-Spyware 2007, SuperAntispyware Home, (Attempted Panda scan but Avast prevented it to run), Hijack This. I have logs where possible.

Issue:
When the system first boots to Windows, there is immediately a popup that will not go away: bcmwltry.exe - Unable to Locate Component: This application has failed to start because CFGMGR32.dll was not found. Re-installingthe application may fix this problem. [OK] If I click ok or the [x] it will immediately popup again with the exact message. After researching Google, I noticed it tends to be an issue with the internal Wireless miniPCI card. I uninstalled the card and software completely and no longer had the popup. When I re-installed the card, before setup had even finished, the popup came back. Interestingly enough, the Wireless card works perfectly (exception of the annoying popup). I spoke with Dell and they deemed this as a spyware infection. Instead of paying Dell to work on this computer I decided to come to Geekstogo.

Welcome.

Download the enclosed folder. [attachment=18379:LocateFiles.zip]Save and extract its contents to the desktop. It is a batch file to locate the CFGMGR32.dll file in your computer. Once extracted, doubleclick on the batch file and post back the report it shall produce.

Lets copy and register that file in the System32 folder.

Download the enclosed folder. [attachment=18393:GetFile.zip]Save and extract its contents to the desktop. Once extracted double click on the batch file. The MSDOS window will be displayed for a second. That is Normal.

Restart the computer.

Is the issue still present?

That appeared to have fixed it. No more message! Awesome!

Thank you JSntgRvr! Any ideas what could have caused this?

And did you glance at my HJT log to see if there are any obvious malware traces present?

No enough information. Somehow the file was deleted from the System32 folder.
