Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

I am not seeing any malware in your logs.

Iwould like for you to run this online scan to see what it finds.

Please go HERE to run Panda's ActiveScan
  • Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
  • A new window will open...click the Check Now button
  • Enter your Country
  • Enter your State/Province
  • Enter your e-mail address and click send
  • Select either Home User or Company
  • Click the big Scan Now button
  • If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
  • It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
  • When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
  • When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report

OK , i dont know if i said this b 4 but i cant get panda to work. i tried 4 different times i either get error on page and buttons only bring up advertisement to buy panda. i used your link. i get the error on page message and can not do a scan. if you have not seen anything thus far , may i interject that i think it is some type of device that tracks my isp movements or something like that. ive googled some of my exe in startup and processes and get wierd things like cookie tracker or something that waits for a signal from a remote source , or something that steals passwords. does the government use stuff like viruses to track criminals or does anything like that even exist. like could you make a sight that when i go there to tag me somehow and can then see exactly what i am doing on my pc? or get to information that is stored on my pc from online transactions like social security number or bank card? even if i am not currently putting those numbers through my pc nor do i have them stored anywhere. ive got 54 processes and wheni boot into safe mode to run nortons i use 13 processes(a little more normal seeming to me). What the...?

That would be so only if you had a keylogger on your computer.
But again I see nothing malicious in your logs.

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner
(This scanner is for use with internet explorer only)
Click on "Accept"

You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Now click on Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
    • Scan Options:
    Scan Archives
    Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer
  • This will program will start and scan your system.
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
  • Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
    • Now click on the Save as Text button:
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Copy and paste that information in your next post.

The logs you posted reflected that you only had Norton.
You mentioned it being a trial but if you have the security suite from Kaspersky then it is no different.
I had you run it because I wanted to scan with Kaspersky's definitions.
If you still have Noton installed then I would uninstall it asap.

ok here it is:

Kaspersky Online ScannerWelcome to the Kaspersky Online Scanner! Use it to
scan your PC for viruses and other malware for free
Warning: if you have installed Kaspersky Online Scanner Pro, please
manually uninstall it using "Add/Remove Programs" before installing this
version! Otherwise this version will not function correctly.

Benefits:

Kaspersky Anti-Virus exceptional detection rates and thorough scanning
Hourly AV database updates available each time the Online Scanner is
launched
Heuristic analysis to detect unknown viruses
Simple installation (just click on a link)

Requirements and limitations:

When using this service for the first time, you have to run with
Administrator privileges in order to install the product. Also, you will
need to download and install files about 400 KB in size followed by 9 MB
of virus definitions.
However, if you use the Online Scanner again, you will only need to
download the files that have been updated since your last scan.
The Online Scanner service offered by Kaspersky Lab uses Microsoft ActiveX
technology. Microsoft ActiveX Technology and the Kaspersky Online Scanner
work only with MS Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.
We cannot guarantee that the Online Scanner will function correctly if you
are using any other browser or any Internet Explorer extensions (such as
AvantBrowser). If you use a different browser, you can use the Kaspersky
File Scanner to scan individual files.
The free Kaspersky Online Scanner does not scan boot sectors and MBRs, so
it cannot detect malicious code located in these areas.
Please note: The free Kaspersky Online Scanner does not protect against
malicious code, and cannot prevent future infections. It only detects
malware that has already penetrated your computer. We strongly recommend
that you install a full antivirus solution to protect your system.

Privacy statement:

The Kaspersky Online Scanner will collect information about the malicious
programs found on your computer during the scanning process. The
information will be sent to the Kaspersky Virus Lab for statistical
purposes. No personal information about you or specific information about
your system will be collected or transmitted to Kaspersky Lab.

Select: All, None, Suspicious Selected objects: 0

Scan settings:
Here you can configure the scanning process.

Scan using the following antivirus database:
standard - detect viruses, worms, Trojans,
rootkits
extended - protect your computer from Spyware,
adware, dialers and potentially dangerous
software such as remote access utilities, prank
programs and jokes. We do not recommend this
option to beginners or inexperienced users.

Scan options:
Scan Archives - scan files inside archives
Note: affects all targets except 'A
File...' scan target.
Scan Mail Bases - scan e-mails/attachments
inside mail base files
Note: affects all targets except 'My
Email' and 'A File...' scan targets.

Initialize Kaspersky Online Scanner
(downloading and installing Kaspersky Online
Scanner ActiveX from the server into your
computer)

Update Kaspersky Anti-Virus Databases [100%]:
(downloading and installing the latest Kaspersky
Anti-Virus Databases)

Please wait to update the virus definitions...

I dont think that it like really worked, this is the same thing mcafee does when i do a free scan. gets to 99% then says error on page, or done , or both.the screen for the scan is still up, but not doing anything.....hhmmm but still it says it detected 17 viruses and 34 infected objects. idk let me know if this gave you what you needed.

i do have kaspersky, i bought it but when i had issues using it i tried to contact some type of tech support, but it IS impossible. there is an e-mail, but they havent responded in 3 weeks...so i did a system restore. i still have kaspersky and can reinstall it, as it is currently uninstalled do to restore......
ive heard they are both bad system hogs running unecesary utilities, but ive heard it more with Norton.

I dont mean to swamp you out here but, i took your advice and reinstalled kaspersky which apparently wipes out norton during install. however i puchased this online before my norton ran out and i had problems. i didnt go buy the disk like i should have. now when i try to install it installs... says restart ..... so i did and then kind of redid everything it seemed to be doing the first time. anyways now when i get to the activation screen no matter what i change my password to or change my username or whatever the "next" button is translusent. will not highlight , maybe i missed something here but i just hope i am not up poo creek.

Any kind of Internet security suite is a resource hog all I recommend is the antivirus program.

Sounds like a botched install.
I would try to contact them via phone if possible or try to install the program using minimal features and only install the anti virus by choosing a custom install.
But uninstall it first.
Because the stuff you posted before isn't the log that I needed.
===========================================
In the meantime let's try this scan.
It is smaller.

Please go HERE to run Panda's TotalScan
  • Select the bubble for Full scan
  • It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
  • Then the scan will begin
  • When the scan completes, click the Save button on the right of Scan details
  • Save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the TotalScan report

ok THIS panda scan couldnt work because after i selected "run" and "instal" it started updating and then stoped at one point saying there was an error on the page . so i hit the big red "update button"...... nothing , again, again nothing. is there something i can show you from the kaspersky scan from last night. it found 38 objects it dealt with except for one that it could not disinfect ....so i geuss it deleted it. i believe there are logs of some kind saved. or maybe a highjack this log now. i am sorry to have given you a useless log.

thank you very very very much for your time,

The scans aren't working because you have to install repeated active x controls.
Just please post the kaspersky scan that you have.
