I have the following script
Cscript //H:cscript /b
prnport -l
wscript //H:wscript /b

and when I run this I get the following:

Server name
Protocol RAW
SNMP Enabled

Number of ports enumerated 1

when I actually have 4 tcp/ip printers installed.
using the following: prnport -a -r IP_10.10.10.11 -h 10.10.10.11 -o raw

if I try to create a tcp/ip port I get the following:

Unable to create/update port IP_10.10.10.11 Error 0x80004002 No such interface supported

HELP!! What is going on, is there something that is hosed?

BTW if I run prnport -l -s server where server is another workstation, it works properly.

Hello DelphiM,

See if the following helps you out:
Managing TCP/IP Ports for Network-Attached Printers

It also may be a good idea to run the WMI Diagnosis Utility. If you need help with resolving any errors, let me know. I became pretty familiar with it while working on a system where XP SP2 broke WMI every time it was installed.

Regards,

Ax
