Hi. Just got a new PC with Vista. I have MS Office XP, and the sales guy told us that Vista doesn't support this MS Office version? I haven't tried to install it yet for fear of doing harm, but does anyone know if this guy is right? Or is there any way around it? I really don't want to have to purchase new MS Word software (which is really the only MS Offfice program I need at this point). Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks.

The sales person was half right.
Office XP (2002) will work with Vista.
Some times you will get an install window when you open an Office program (I.E. Word, Excel)
You can click cancel, a few times, and the program will load (run).
It would be best to buy Microsoft Works with Word. This cost about $80.00.

Thanks. I went ahead and installed it, and it seems to be working fine.
