Hello reload147 and welcome to Geeks to Go!

I'd suggest uninstalling Google Desktop first. Does this directory exist on your system?
c:\program files\microsoft Visual studio 8\vc\include\list

Regards,

Ax

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HiJackThis Log in THAT forum. If you are unable to run and/or post a HJT log, then post that in your initial post in the topic you create in that forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

Regards,

OK, welcome back! We'll start with the most commonly occurring issue. Could you uninstall DivX, along with any other codecs that you have installed? Also if you have any virtual drive software, such as Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120, uninstall those as well. Once finished, post an updated status of your system.

If you don't know it, you probably don't have it. You do have DivX though, please uninstall that program and give us an update.

You shouldn't have to worry about Nero, Windows Media Player, or Winamp.

Try installing the following items:
Download details: SP6 for VB 6.0, VC++ 6.0 and VSS 6.0d
Download details: Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)

After installing, let me know if you are still having issues.

Sorry for the late response. Do you still have "Hide My IP 2007" installed? If so, please uninstall it and give me an updated status.
